The Yosemite Fund is pleased to present our 2006 report to the community. The report provides detailed information about the Fund's 2006 achievements on behalf of Yosemite National Park. Fund donors contributed more than $3.7 million to over 50 projects in 2006.
Last year, the Fund and Park Service dedicated the Olmsted Point Restoration project, launched a $13.5 million Campaign for Yosemite Trails and began work on new exhibits for the Valley Visitor Center. In addition to these highlights, the Fund supported California Conservation Corps backcountry trail crews, habitat restoration efforts including the removal of asphalt from Stoneman Meadow, and numerous projects that preserve Yosemite's culture and history, educate visitors and add to the body of research about the Park's flora and fauna.
On behalf of the Fund's council and staff, we thank our donors for their generosity and stewardship of Yosemite National Park. Special thanks to Pace Lithographers, Inc. for generously donating their high quality printing services to the production of our annual report.
